The Cardamom Rainforest is one of Asia's most biodiverse places, with populations of rare and endangered wildlife - including Malayan sun bears, pangolins, clouded leopards, and pileated gibbons. But their existence is threatened by poaching, logging, and other illegal activities. To counteract this threat, Shinta Mani Wild funds the operation of one of 14 Ranger Stations belonging to the Wildlife Alliance, a Cambodian NGO who’s armed rangers patrol the area, seizing snares, running loggers out of their camps, and confiscating guns and chainsaws. Here at Wild, you are on the front line of conservation in action, and your presence alone is helping us fight this fight.
Top Tip! Long trousers and sensible walking footwear are essential. Long sleeves are highly recommended. During rainy season you may encounter leeches.

A short hike or drive is all it takes to discover the Ranger Station located on Wild property, an educational experience for those wanting to learn more, without the adrenalin! Meet the Ranger team as they show you around the confiscation cave, describing what each item is used for and the animals that have been rescued.

Patrol the Shinta Mani Wild boundaries on foot, all the while on the lookout for suspicious activity! With a team of Rangers, learn more about the work they do, why they joined the team, and what it’s like to be a Wildlife Alliance Ranger in the Cardamom Forest!

Departing from Headquarters on the back of a motorbike, join a team of Wildlife Alliance Rangers, Environmental Officer and Military Police as they survey and protect the resort's 350 hectares of forest to ensure the sanctity of this precious habitat. You might help them dismantle a homemade trap or even rescue and release an animal caught in a snare.
